What better time to reopen my “InkAndStitchesArt” Etsy shop than with the holidays coming up?
Can you believe the holidays are just around the corner? I can’t!
Since I’ve been toying with the idea of reopening my Etsy shop for awhile now, I thought this would be the best time to do it!
The Big Magic-Filled Day!
Aaron and Jenny’s Baby Shower was going to begin at noon and there was a lot of setting up to do! Jenny’s mom, sisters, and I got to work before the expectant couple arrived.
What would a Harry Potter-themed Baby Shower be without decorations?
After I had finished all of the prizes for the “Adopt A Magical Creature” table (See Part One for what Harry Potter creatures I made and where to get the DIY patterns/instructions), it was time to get to work on my portion of the decorations!
When I found out my brother was going to be a father, and in turn, make me Auntie Julianne, you can imagine how excited I was!
(Due to the fact that this post is packed with cuteness, I wanted to split it into two posts. Part One is what I did behind the scenes for the event creatively. Part Two will be pictures of the outcome of my hard work at the Harry Potter Baby Shower itself!)
Theodore the Corgi is at it again, and I’m right there to breathe life to his escapades in Book Two of The Enchanted Bookstore series by K. Kibbee!
With Theodore and the Enchanted Bookstore: Tale of the Spectacular Spectacles available for pre-order on Amazon and Barnes and Noble booksellers, it’s time for K. Kibbee and I to put our heads together to create Book Two in this adorable series! Book One had the release date pushed back until October 10, 2017, but I can tell you, it’s well worth the wait and I’m only slightly biased.
There is a new video up on my Ink & Stitches YouTube Channel that is all about Theodore, with behind the scenes clips and images that I took during the illustration process!

Not all yarns are good…
Perhaps it’s just an issue with certain dye lot numbers, or perhaps just certain colors are the problem, but I have a little story to tell you about what happened when I used the Lily Sugar ‘n Cream brand of cotton yarn in the color black.
Time to reveal the cover for the first children’s book I’ve illustrated: Tale of the Spectacular Spectacles. Book One of the Theodore and the Enchanted Bookstore series, written by author, K. Kibbee.
What do you all think?
I am really happy with the final reveal for the cover. The illustration is my own and the book cover design was done by the talented, Star Foos.
