I fell in love with “Swatch: The Girl Who Loved Color” the moment I checked it out from the library and read it to my son. Being an illustrator, the concept of a girl named, Swatch, who tries to tame color by collecting each one in a jar, spoke volumes to me.
The Big Magic-Filled Day!
Aaron and Jenny’s Baby Shower was going to begin at noon and there was a lot of setting up to do! Jenny’s mom, sisters, and I got to work before the expectant couple arrived.
What would a Harry Potter-themed Baby Shower be without decorations?
After I had finished all of the prizes for the “Adopt A Magical Creature” table (See Part One for what Harry Potter creatures I made and where to get the DIY patterns/instructions), it was time to get to work on my portion of the decorations!
When I found out my brother was going to be a father, and in turn, make me Auntie Julianne, you can imagine how excited I was!
(Due to the fact that this post is packed with cuteness, I wanted to split it into two posts. Part One is what I did behind the scenes for the event creatively. Part Two will be pictures of the outcome of my hard work at the Harry Potter Baby Shower itself!)
Theodore and the Enchanted Bookstore series author, K. Kibbee, and illustrator, J.H. Winter, finally meet!
The Theodore series has been in the making for over a year now as a project that Kristine Kibbee wrote for Incorgnito Publishing Press’ company mascot. After the first book was written and in the editing stages, it was time to find an illustrator for the series.
Theodore the Corgi is at it again, and I’m right there to breathe life to his escapades in Book Two of The Enchanted Bookstore series by K. Kibbee!
With Theodore and the Enchanted Bookstore: Tale of the Spectacular Spectacles available for pre-order on Amazon and Barnes and Noble booksellers, it’s time for K. Kibbee and I to put our heads together to create Book Two in this adorable series! Book One had the release date pushed back until October 10, 2017, but I can tell you, it’s well worth the wait and I’m only slightly biased.
I’ve had several of my followers express a bit of confusion with Rows 9 and 10 of the Happy Sunflower’s head piece. I went ahead and created a new YouTube video on my Ink & Stitches channel working through those two rows together to clarify the directions and make things easier. Hope this helps!
There is a new video up on my Ink & Stitches YouTube Channel that is all about Theodore, with behind the scenes clips and images that I took during the illustration process!
