I finished my dad’s underwater illustration just in time for Father’s Day! I framed it and it is ready to hand over to him this coming Sunday.
Sick. Sick. Sick.
This entire week I’ve been sick. Fever. Body Aching. Sore throat. I sound like I ate Minnie Mouse and a frog, and they’re currently doing battle in my throat. Normally, I would’ve just stopped to rest. I did here and there, but we’re also moving in about two weeks, and the boxes don’t pack themselves.

This week, I have been gearing up for my first giveaway: a crocheted Happy Sunflower (see this post to be entered to win)! Since the giveaway goes from now until 3/14/16, I am working on getting the sunflower made up and ready to ship. To the right is a progress pic thus far. As you can see, I’ve made the stem, back of the head and almost one whole leaf! I know it doesn’t look like much, but just you wait until next week’s progress pic!
This week I continued working on editing my book, Adeline and the Mystic Berries (see last week’s What I am Working On post for more on editing this story). I finished the in-line edits and have moved onto reorganizing and deleting chapters, and also writing new scenes as well. This part of the process will definitely be the most time consuming. It is also a lot of fun, to add more scenes in with my favorite characters (like, Aspen, seen above).
I have been toying around with the idea of creating an Ink & Stitches logo for awhile now. In addition to my blog, I am starting an Etsy store called: InkAndStitchesArt. This shop (which is on vacation status at the moment until the listings are ready to go) will include: amigurumi patterns, occasional finished amigurumi, prints of some of my illustrations, stamps, and stickers as well. I am also readying an Ink & Stitches YouTube Channel, that will teach viewers how to crochet, but more specifically, how to crochet amigurumi.
This week has all been a bit of a blur. The time change threw me for a loop for two reasons: (1) Even though I’d been reminded about it by my mom several times, I still managed to forget last night that I was losing an hour; and (2) I was so excited about the new Gallery I’m putting together for my website and blog, that I stayed up until 1:00am (really 2:00am with the time change) to work on it!
