WISHGHAN CAL – WEEK #1: Crawler Biscuit

First up, we are going to make Lady Porcupine’s famous crawler biscuits!

“How ’bout a biscuit?” Lady held out a plate with a pile of crawler biscuits on top still sending up dancing puffs of steam.

“One for each leg?” Whimsy asked.

“She was met with a stern eye. “Why do you think the plate has eight?”

The crawler biscuits symbolize friendship and the power of sharing. You’ll notice throughout the first book, that Whimsy has a bag of crawler biscuits on her back for the journey. They come in handy along the way. Whether they are a means of saying “thanks” for help offered, or a means of getting out of a sticky situation, this Wishghan wouldn’t have been complete without them!

Whimsy pulled out a crawler biscuit from her pack and laid it down beside Peter while he slept, as a silent ‘thank you’ for his kindness.

While this Wishghan CAL posts will always be here for free on my blog, for convenience, I’ve also created one giant 70-page PDF file for those who would like to purchase a copy of all the files together in one place along with a photo tutorial of connecting the squares and doing the final border. No searching through posts necessary! Plus, it’s over there now, should you want to work ahead of the group rather than wait for each week’s new square. You can purchase this pattern for a small fee here on Ravelry. It is also available on Etsy.

Make sure to post your finished squares/rectangles on social media:
