April’s A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal
For the entire month of April, I am taking up fellow blogger, Arlee Bird‘s challenge to post a new blog post each day (except for Sundays: the day to rest my typing fingers). For her challenge, bloggers are invited to create a theme for their posts or just post at random. The one rule is that each day’s post pertains to something that starts with a letter of the alphabet. There are 26 days in the challenge and as many letters in the alphabet. Day one will be to write on a topic beginning with the letter “A”, and so on.
This is a challenge to push bloggers to hone their craft, and to learn to network with other bloggers as well. What a great way to feel like a part of the blogging community! You can see a list of all bloggers who are participating in the challenge or sign up your own blog to participate here (Ink & Stitches is already among the steadily growing number of bloggers).
The first thing I did when I decided to do this challenge, was try to think of a theme. I could focus on only writing, illustrating, crafting, or crochet, but I felt that wouldn’t be fair to my audience who, I hope, are people who want to hear about all of those things. So, I decided to follow in-line with what Ink & Stitches is all about, and thus my theme for the April A to Z Challenge is: Artistic Variety.
I have come up with a calendar of topics to include from A to Z already. I’m also working on finishing the posts ahead of time so I make sure to have time to promote throughout the month. I hope you all tune into my blog each day to see what the day’s topic has in store. If you’re like me and are terrible at remembering to do such things, you can always subscribe to my blog so that you never miss a post!
**Spoiler Alert: I will have a giveaway and freebie coming up throughout the month (I’ll let you take a guess on which days they will show up!), as well as some fun crafts to do, and hopefully by the end of the month, all of you will feel as though you’ve learned something new.**
Enjoy and I hope you keep coming back for more!

You’re right – variety is always more…artistic. Good luck with the challenge!
JHWinter
Thank you Rian! Your theme is of equal variety (it’s a bit easier to find topics to talk about that way!). I look forward to your posts!

Wait, you’re doing A to Z *and* Camp NaNo? Wow, you go!
JHWinter
…and I have a trip planned toward the end up to Washington state! I’m only setting a low goal of 5,000 words edited for Camp NaNo this year. I don’t want to overwhelm myself, but I wanted to participate. Hopefully, I’ll get more than that done!

Hi, here from the theme reveal and liked your theme choice. A broad range there, you could do much with it. All the best for a great challenge

Looking forward to reading your A to Z posts. 🙂

Looking forward to sharing them with you, Stefani! I’m still hoping you decide to join in on the challenge as well. Good luck with the A to Z Challenge posts or whatever else occupies your time in April. I’ll be keeping up with you on your blog either way.

I like the idea of variety in art. It seems that most writers I know also have other artistic outlets.
JHWinter
That’s very true. When you research starting a blog, they say to stick to one theme for the entire blog, but that just didn’t feel right to me. I need to have an outlet for all of my creative endeavors.

This sounds suspenseful and fun! Can’t wait to find out what you’ll have for each letter 🙂

My gram always said that variety was the spice of life. So bring on the spice this April!
JHWinter
I plan to do just that! Looking forward to your posts as well in April!
