WISHGHAN CAL – Week #14 Ivy Covered Cottage Vertical Border (Make 2)
This week, we’re continuing on with the ivy border, making the two vertical rectangles. These are extremely long as they run the length of the blanket, so take it at your own pace. Make sure to take breaks and grab a coffee or cuppa tea. These rectangles are the longest ones we’ve ever made in any of the graphghans!
Be patient, and know that you are making a beautiful border that will truly make this blanket feel like it came from the pages of a storybook, which is of course, exactly what it did!
From now until July 1st, if you purchase or checkout from the library and read WISHWEAVER, you can be entered in to win an enamel pin of your choice: Whimsy or Rolland. Added to that, you get 20% in the shop! All you have to do is leave a short review over on Amazon!
Everyone who enters will get a handwritten letter of thanks from me along with a signed book plate to put in your book and either a bookmark/sticker from the book as well!
While this Wishghan CAL posts will always be here for free on my blog, for convenience, I’ve also created one giant 70-page PDF file for those who would like to purchase a copy of all the files together in one place along with a photo tutorial of connecting the squares and doing the final border. No searching through posts necessary! Plus, it’s over there now, should you want to work ahead of the group rather than wait for each week’s new square. You can purchase this pattern for a small fee here in the store.
It can also be purchased over on Ravelry, Etsy, and LoveCrafts.
Make sure to post your finished squares/rectangles on social media:

***NOTE: The second vertical ivy border is worked the same as the first, however, when you get to the single crochet border around the outside, you will want to flip it so that if there was a RS and WS, that the single crochet would be on the WS of the work (Mirror imaged if you will). In other words, the vine at the top of the vertical border should align with the top of the horizontal border’s vine.***
