I was interviewed about my journey to publication and advice for new writers/illustrators

Myrna Foster took time out to interview me about my new book WISHWEAVER and how it went from a picture book to a chapter book. We talked about why I write books for kids, marketing, advice for writers/illustrators, picture books and more!

WISHWEAVER, from picture book to chapter book.

She is even going to give away a copy of my book if you comment on the blog post with one thing you learned and add WISHWEAVER to your “To Read” list on Goodreads!

Storyteller Academy is a wonderful place to join if you’ve ever considered writing children’s books. It is founded by author/illustrator Arree Chung who brought you Mixed: A Colorful Story, but has grown to include many other authors, agents, and editors, as teachers at the academy.

This story meant so much to me, I molded it until I got it just right. It was so nice to talk about the journey it’s been through from picture book to chapter book. I hope you’ll all take a moment to read the interview.

Also, let’s not forget, I have a huge Grand Prize Bundle GIVEAWAY going on from now until the book launch, Sept. 1. There are lots of ways to get your name in, and if you are signed up for my newsletter, you’ve already done one of them!
