CATGHAN CAL – WEEK #3 – Sleepy Bubbles
CATGHAN CAL – WEEK #3: Sleepy Bubbles
I certainly hope your Mouse Watching square came out wonderful last week! If you haven’t already posted a picture on social media, the hashtag for this CAL is: #CatghanCAL2019
The bubbles for this square were reminiscent of some of my favorite anime shows where they put bubbles around the character for added effect (like when the character has fallen asleep).
If you are just starting to work on your squares for the CATGHAN CAL, I suggest starting with Week One’s PEEKAMEW square and work alongside me in the YouTube Video for that week. Week Two’s Mouse Watching square also has a video as well. Once you work your way through those two, I have no doubt you’ll be ready to work on the more difficult squares (in regards to color changing only, the stitches are the same).
** I have new videos up on my YouTube channel that explain: How to tie in loose ends and create the single crochet border around each square. **
I can’t wait to see your finished cats, and eventually, your finished blankets too!
This pattern was lovingly tested by the wonderful crocheters over on the Facebook Group: CAL – Crochet A Long. Stop by, join the group, and crochet with us!
While this Catghan CAL posts will always be here for free on my blog, for convenience, I’ve also created one giant PDF file for those who would like to purchase a copy of all the files together in one place. No searching through posts necessary. Plus, it’s over there now, should you want to work ahead of the group rather than wait for each week’s new square. You can purchase this pattern for a small fee here on Ravelry or now over in my Etsy Shop.
Without further ado, I’ll stop yammering and let you all grab your size H crochet hooks and get to work making:

Looking at the finished afghan picture, the eyes of the sleepy bubbles look different than what is charted. Did you change the pattern of the square from the complete Afghan pixel picture?
JHWinter
Yes. There were a few changes from when I made that banner image to the final square design based on pattern tester feedback. Sorry for the confusion 🙂
